What was a strongly Democratic area is now somewhat split. Yesterday, 2,000 people voted in the Democratic Primary, 700 more chose to cast Republican ballots.

Contrary to what we reported this morning, it would seem that former Senator Andy Womack will not be seeking the Democratic nod to succeed Representative John Hood of the 48th State House:

Andy Womack will not seek the state House seat currently held by Rep. John Hood.
