Received the latest Tennessee Crop Summary from the USDA today and crop conditions this year are in great shape. Last year, at this time, we were well into a substantial drought. Taking a look at the Crop Condition, it is fair to say we are in good shape for 2008.

The USDA has ordered it largest ever meat recall of 143 million pounds, but most of the affected beef may have already been consumed.  Where is the failure here?  The government that doesn’t pay attention, the factory farms…who don’t pay attention or even care, or the meat-eating consumer who is just intetreste
