The Tennessee Democrat Party opened a can of worms over the weekend when they invalidated incumbent State Senator Rosalind Kurita's (D-22) primary win over challenger Tim Barnes. Tomorrow night the Democrat Executive Committees from Cheatham, Houston, and Motgomery counties will meet and select a Democrat to be on the ballot in November.

The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund has given its highest rating, for a non-incumbent, to Becky Ruppe. Ruppe is a conservative Democrat candidate for the 12th State Senatorial District. Ruppe’s “A” rating was based on her answers to the NRA’s Tennessee candidate questionnaire.
