final stretch

Pre-General fundraising figures are out, and it appears that a cash flush Obama campaign has been spreading the wealth around to State Democratic parties (Tennessee not being one of those).

After the last 8 years, my friends and I have lost our minds in the final stretch of this election.

It's like we're almost at the finish line, but we're so beaten and bruised from politics, that we're limping instead of sprinting to the finish line. And some days, I wonder if we're all going to make it.

Eleven miles on a flat, out-and-back course with minimal shade but plenty of good listenings: a recipe for running success, in my book. Sadly, today was not my day. I don't like to flake out and walk the last half-mile. I also don't like to beat myself up, but sometimes I deserve it. Contributing factors:
