I just read in the Daily News Journal about how-to avoid getting sick from swimming.  I want to link to the story here because it isn’t something that you think a lot about, but getting sick from a swimming pool is not uncommon.

When I swim in a lake, I have to admit that the thought occurs to me that a fish might bite me. Jumping into green water where I can’t see more than a inch below the surface just puts the thought in my mind that there might be some huge catfish that doesn’t know not to eat humans.
