I think we Americans have become a whiny, selfish bunch. 

If something goes bad in our life it's not our fault.  It's someone else' fault.  And we are always the victim of something, never the victimizer.  Why is that? I don't remember it being that way when I was a young man in my twenties.

Lately there have been days that I have started feeling like I'm a lawyer. 

Except that I'm not slimy or unprincipled nor do I have a desire to get on TV chasing down those people who think they've been injured by Vioxx.  Of course if I chose to do that it would be only be to right the wrong done by the evil drug companies to innocent victims and naturally I would have to be compensated for my time.  But I digress.
