Republican House Minority Leader Jason Mumpower presented orange pants decorated with white UT initials to Democratic House Speaker Jimmy Naifeh on the floor of the House Feb. 20.

“Wear these to the (basketball) game Saturday and again next Wednesday,” Mumpower told him, referring to the scheduled game with the University of Memphis and UT’s Day on the Hill.

Representatives Joe Armstrong and Curry Todd talk on the floor of the legislature about the historic upcoming hoops classic between #1 ranked Memphis and #2 ranked University Of Tennessee.

The bet is that if Memphis wins Armstrong will have to wear Todd’s Memphis State college jersey and if UT is victorious Rep. Todd will have to don some very bright orange pants.
