(On the heat out at practice)

Not hot enough. I believe the forecasts indicate that kickoff [Sunday] will be right about what the temperature was today. But it was good to get back into it because we had a break the past couple weeks. We'll watch it and maybe adjust the next couple days but today was a good day.

Today I walked the 1/4 mile down to the Bethlehem Center where they have a Second Harvest Food Bank distribution center. And upon arrival I found the door closed. And so did a couple others who arrived about the same time. One person went inside to the Bethlehem center offices where he was told that they had given away all their food and that they had closed down their food pantry permanently.

Caught the tail end of the press conference, photos and video later. Some delays getting credentials, but we're all set. Everything is running an hour or more late. One person called it Denver time. Another said, not, it's just Democrat time.

The Tiny Cat Pants afghan is done and in the wash as we speak because someone, you may recall, was using it while he had the flu and I would rather not give the flu to the one person who’s bound to appreciate this ugly afghan which I am in love with.

I will take a picture before I hand it over to Georgia.

I'm left with far more questions as the debate and discussion of the uses of torture contiues.

I vote at Stratford High School in East Nashville. A politically active area, and one with a polling place that is very efficient. I have rarely had to wait more than 3-4 minutes to vote, but the area usually has a pretty good turnout.

However, the last three times i've voted, i have also had the pleasure of watching those before me cast their votes. It gives you that tight community feeling you understand...
