Today I drove around with Lily running errands and listened to a great little radio station that plays freaking AWESOME music (91.1). Before I get to the point of this blog, I want to demonstrate how awesome this station is. I heard Band Of Horses immediately followed by Okkervil River today. That blew me away!

My house is quiet. Lily is sleeping and the boys have left for school. I need to try to keep myself engaged in other things today so I do not sit around feeling sad all day. I am sad. I am very sad. I don't want to mask it, but I don't want to wallow in it either.

I am trying to just BREATHE. I have been very anxious the last few days and I am working very hard on trying to calm myself.

I just sent my kids off to school after yelling at them all morning. I am trying to figure out what causes me to do this and what I can do to prevent it.

I hate waiting for Comcast. I want to go to Sam's Club. I want to go bowling. I want to go buy more lightbulbs and picture hanging hardware (since I mysteriously lost the ones I bought yesterday), I want to go to ACME, I want to do [bleep]. But...I am stuck at home waiting for Comcast. And I am stuck at home waiting for Comcast because when they came the first time they didn't bring the right stuff.

I sold my first thing on craigslist today - Lily's Pottery Barn Kids kitchen set. I had two offers within an hour of putting the listing up. I love technology, and I have been thinking about writing a blog about all the ways technology has changed the way I do things. More specifically, my productivity has increased a great deal due to some cool Firefox add-ons and iPhone apps.

So I'm sipping my coffee and minding my own bidness this morning, reading my e-mail and listening to classical music out on my back deck. It's sunny and a light breeze is wafting the fragrance of my Casablanca lily across the yard. Then I come upon this mass-forwarded email from somebody named Lowdog:
