last day of school

Last day of school in technical terms… kids picking up report cards today.  How bad would it suck if you were a student and looked outside to see rain on your last day of school when all you want is to run outside and hang out with your friends? 

Today is Melissa’s last day of school and she’s spending it crying with her friends because as a social butterfly, she’ll miss them.  I think both girls had a good year, but let’s review:

Hillary

I was up at 6:00 a.m. getting the daughter off to her last day of school.  Then I went back to bed for two hours and it was mahhvelous. 

On the next to last day of school, all the stars converged to allow Suzie to be safety patrol.

Tomorrow is the last day of school for the Smiff Kids. #2 has brought all his junk home…folders…books….crap like that.

My last day of school is April 25 (until August 23, that is). I'm already starting a huge list of things I need to do this summer.

* Starting August 11, with a fall break and then ending on May 22
* A July 31 start date, with two week fall and spring breaks and students getting out of school on May 19
* An August 18 start date, forgoing a fall break, then ending on May 22
* A September 2 start date, with no fall break and the last day of school slated for June 3rd

As to my tearful vow the other night: I'm not really *done* with guys. Just romantical-like. Platonic guy friends will be fully adequate.
