Hate Crimes Rise Against The Disabled

Are these crimes really on the rise in our society or we just getting “better” at categorizing them?

Most of last year’s hate crimes against the disabled were thefts, forgeries and burglaries victimizing mentally disabled persons.

"...hate crimes against Hispanics more than doubled and those against the disabled grew from 1 to 30."

I can just about guarantee you too that as things go from bad to worse economically for many people, the trend of increasing hate crimes will almost surely continue. Ignorant people need scapegoats to blame for their own failings.....

As former Tennessee Democrat Party chairman Bob Tuke prepares to announce that he's going to run for the U.S. Senate seat currently held, firmly, by Lamar Alexander, I'm reminded of a strange incident from 2004 where Tuke, on a radio show, seemed to imply he knew beforehand that CBS was about to smear President Bush with some documents regarding Bush's National Guard service.
