couple of days

Newscoma bemoans the nature of the current media culture:

I haven’t really been able to wrap my head around all the things that are happening with Barack Obama right now.

I can’t tell you how good it is to be back home. God did some amazing things through our team and I couldn’t be more proud of each one them. I will be buried the next couple of days in e-mails, phone calls and make-up meetings but it was totally worth it.

When I wrote recently about how I’m re-motivated to attack my fat rolls, get in shape, and lose some more weight, some of you said, “Me too!” and others said something like, “Tell us how it goes, we need encouragement!”

My dad is dying. He is in hospice, and I will be going up there again tomorrow to see him. According to my mom and the nurses there, he looks like he's only going to be alive for another couple of days.

My friend Stew isn’t doing very well. If you could, please light a candle for him. It’s the reason I haven’t been around much in the last couple of days.

Casey decided after several months of physical therapy, to just go ahead and have the spur on his shoulder surgically removed. He went to the orthopedist last Tuesday and scheduled his surgery. He is scheduled for Friday, the 25th. This coming Tuesday, we have to go and meet with his doctors again for all of the pre-op stuff. This next week is going to be absolutely CRAZY!!

For several years, my family has vacationed in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, but with vacation days (and money) at a premium, Steve and I hadn't planned to join them this summer.

…that I wrote about here?  It was short-lived.  Here’s a very brief description of how the following couple of days went…

Look for the weather pattern of hot and humid weather to continue over the next couple of days. The big question right now is, who is going to get the rain? We do expect some rainfall each day through Saturday....BUT....not everyone will see rain!
