A friend told me that in the past few weeks he has encountered two restaurants in town where he paid with a debit card and had the entire account number and expiration date printed on the receipt. His attorney provided him with a copy of TCA 47-18-126 which he presented to the cashier at the second establishment. The man was astonished and called his boss.

I moved out of my old apartment almost two years ago, but I’ve yet to bother getting a new driver’s license. It’s not that I haven’t thought about it, either. I simply haven’t gotten all the pieces together at the same time. Because the driver’s license office doesn’t accept credit/debit cards, I have to remember a checkbook.

I have a disability that I've never really told anyone about.

Actually, I've had it since I was a teenager.

I cannot put things back in my wallet or purse after I've used them.

And by "things" I mean money, phones, credit cards, sunglasses, etc. You know, stuff you might need later.

I have lost more stuff and had to re-issue more credit cards that any human should ever have to do in a lifetime.

one of the things i hate about being a youth minister is money. the whole caterer/event planner/travel agent/bank loaner that comes along with the job takes a lot of effort for me. so, this idea from steve case & the journal for student ministries speaks to me as a no brainer.
