Find more posts like this: I was talking with my dad today about the workplace and how the economy seems to be affecting things there. We're all feeling it, of course. I ride share as much as I can to get to and from, I bring my lunch/dinner from home (Yay, tuna fish sandwiches!), and I pretty much don't buy anything that the family doesn't need. Sadly, things just continue to get tighter. Football was made for analogies, right?*6

There are so many cool life streaming content services available that do what they do extremely well: Utterz does a great job at recording and posting audio to your blog, Seesmic is great at video comments, Flickr is my tool of choice for sharing photos on the fly, and Qik is awe inspiring in terms of live video streaming from a cell phone. I support that idea but admit that I (along with many other IT professionals) prefer to define vacation as a period of time when being connected to the office is defined by me rather than an administrative clock.
