There is a new Tshirt company called 200 Nipples. They sell short run, original design, numbered tshirts. For each design 100 shirts are available. After those 100 are sold the design is retired.

Ok, that titles an inside joke.  But, for some reason, I was rambling on yesterday and becoming easily distracted and therefore unable to make an important point to The Missus and her Dependable Rock Solid Husband.  I was trying to tell them about a trend I’ve noticed for the past coupla years….

My aunt and uncle were in town last weekend for the NAMM conference. My uncle works for a music store, and he brought with him a DVD of a man who had been visiting his store.

Chez Bez gets it about the economy. In his world, he’s been hit hard. As he is Chez Bez, he breaks it down in the way only he knows how to do which is, as usual, eloquent.

I was talking with my dad today about the workplace and how the economy seems to be affecting things there. We're all feeling it, of course. I ride share as much as I can to get to and from, I bring my lunch/dinner from home (Yay, tuna fish sandwiches!), and I pretty much don't buy anything that the family doesn't need. Sadly, things just continue to get tighter.

There are so many cool life streaming content services available that do what they do extremely well: Utterz does a great job at recording and posting audio to your blog, Seesmic is great at video comments, Flickr is my tool of choice for sharing photos on the fly, and Qik is awe inspiring in terms of live video streaming from a cell phone.

We are encouraged to take the alloted days of vacation provided in the terms of our employment. I support that idea but admit that I (along with many other IT professionals) prefer to define vacation as a period of time when being connected to the office is defined by me rather than an administrative clock.
