We had good weather from the standpoint of getting acclimated to the opener. It's nice to get a break and it should stay like this through the weekend. But we'll get another shot [at the heat] I'm sure, having been here a number of years.

We got a lot out of it. Both clubs got a lot out of it. We had good work, stayed healthy, had a real good special teams practice this morning and finished up real well this afternoon. Now the guys can get down to business. Now they're ready for Saturday night.

Today's training camp was the first in shoulder pads and my first to watch this season. The team worked on field 3 (the far one) for about two and a half hours beginning with stretches, position drills, small unit work, and finishing with 11 on 11.

It is time to start debating the merits of the Chris Johnson pick and look at what he brings to the Titans.  Chris Johnson is really, really fast.  LenDale White is a good back, but he is never going to break a 60 yard run or take a screen pass, make a couple of people miss, and take it to the house.
