I know I’ve been absent.  I’m sorry.  I’m a bad person.  But I’m excited about the throwdown tonight.

All summer long, I’ve been dreaming about corn ice cream. I’ve also been hankering for some ice pops – orange creamsicles, to be exact.

Not much new around the kitchen this week...Monday night, I enjoyed a delicious dinner over at Claudia's house. She'd inadvertently used more chili flakes than I had a taste for in a lovely citrus farro dish, so using what I'd learned from a friend of mine at work (who cools her mother's spicy Indian food with homemade yoghurt), I asked if there was any dairy around.

To recap: Last November, Irma Paz Bernstein and her sister Norma from Las Paletas showed up one afternoon at Fido, thinking they had been invited by the Food Network to participate in something called "Brain Freeze Stunt Week." To their shock, they were ambushed by superstar chef Bobby Flay.

This is a throwdown on Costas’ HBO show from last night about blogging, the sports world and changes in sports media.

It gets ugly. If you are offended by foul language, go look at this picture of a cat with laser beam eyes.

While canned bananas, high fructose corn syrup and pig rectum all sound delicious, we've decided to save those Secret Ingredients for another day—possibly for a future installment of Madwiches.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone today is the one day a year we’re all a little Irish even if it’s not in our blood. Today I have a short post with a list of what’s going on in town if you want to get out and celebrate. Enjoy and be safe. If I had missed anything leave a comment. :-)
