Tennessee Titans Wide Receiver Debate

Everyone always throws out there that the Titans need to get a #1 receiver. It is debatable if the Titans have ever had a true #1 receiver. Derrick Mason had a couple of 90+ catch seasons, but I don't think he was ever the game-changer that you think of when you think of a #1 receiver. My question is how many #1 receivers are there in the league? Here are the guys I have come up with that are #1 receivers (in no particular order):

Once again the Titans have been very quiet early in free agency. The good news is that none of the guys we have talked about them targeting are off the board. There was a report yesterday that the Seattle Seahawks were close to signing Alge Crumpler, but he left Seattle last night without a contract.
There hasn't been much action thus far on Bernard Berrian, Donte Stallworth or D.J. Hackett yet.
It’s free agent time in Tennessee (football), or the starkness of the Titans, or, Is there an end in sight?

It’s one of those time in the year where non-pro-football fans roll their eyes, already covered with glaze fit for a KK donut, when people start talking openly about salary caps and free agents, and what, pray tell, are the TITANS GONNA DO?

Today is an exciting day when your team has $40 million in cap space because it is the first day of NFL free agency. We already know the Titans are in the Alge Crumpler sweepstakes. We don't know who else they will target yet. I figure at some point they have to bring in one of the Donte Stallworth, Bernard Berrian, DJ Hackett group for a look.
It is also going to be intersting to watch and see what happens with Antwan Odom, Travis LaBoy and Jacob Bell.
