I was surprised at how much I liked this book. At first the subtitle really threw me off and I put off reading it, but once I read Sigmund Brouwer’s endorsement of the book I decided to give it a chance, and I was not disappointed.

I’ve grown up using phrases like “personal saviour” and “personal relationship with God/Jesus Christ”.  And I do firmly believe in personal interactions with the Divine.

But I am getting kind of tired of all of the blogs and testimonies which seem to focus fully on What God Has Done For Me Lately.
