I am sitting in the Nashville area red cross pr office hearing about disaster relief.

Here are a few Tennessee stats

55000 meals and snacks served since Saturday.

During the tornato relief they served 40000

Whole state has 22 shelters open — including 10 in the middle Tennessee area.

Second harvest food bank has stepped in to help out with food.

My husband works for a local hotel. He is at work today and told me not to expect him home as scheduled. Gustav evacuees are checking in today. Luckily the hotel has a pet friendly policy. While this is his job, I know that he will make the evacuees feel welcome.

I would like to alert all of you darlings that the Red Cross is in dire need of blood… doesn’t matter which type you have.  And now the eager 16 year olds can donate (with parental permission)… so I urge you to answer the call if possible!!!
