driving down and back from vacation i got into my habit of listening to random radio stuff. bad christian preaching radio, old country, classical, you get the picture. not so random in the listening line up is npr.

On this day, I give to you George Orwell’s Notes on Nationalism.

I don’t make it a habit to praise car dealerships, but this move by Darrell Waltrip’s company was both kind-hearted and savvy.

When I was a teenager, my mother had a habit of waking me up on Sunday mornings by asking what I was wearing to church. “Ummm, probably my pink Laura Ashley dress,” I’d say groggily. Mom would flit off somewhere and I’d rub my eyes and stumble into the shower, emerging fully dressed from my room an hour later to find her wearing a pink outfit that perfectly coordinated with mine.

As I am in the habit of doing, I stole this idea from someone (this time it happens to be Chris over at Arrowhead Pride (who, incidentally, stole it from someone else)).  The question before us is Why are you a Tennessee Titans fan?

So EA has a page up for Sims 3, designed to make all of the goofball Sims fanatics–like me–salivate for the next year and a half until it actually ships.

They better spend that year and a half making the new game look like more of a new game and less of an expansion pack for Sims 2.
