One of the most frustrating aspects of my job rears its butt-ugly head when I must try and assist the "almost" and "brand-newly" homeless, especially those who have somehow miraculously avoided losing their job but have lost essentially everything else as the employment demand / pay ratio has driven them ever deep

I use the "tough love" approach pretty frequently in my daily routine and there is no doubt that there are many in our community who share Councilman Buscetto's viewpoint. Interestingly enough, a good portion of them are homeless themselves.

There is just no better example for the Housing First program than good ol Murray Barr, a Reno Nevada man who spent much of his adult life on the streets of America's Biggest Little City, and no stronger argument for wraparound services once a person is stabilized.
