This is my first week to do this so we will see how it goes and determine if it will be a weekly thing or not.  I figure a lot of us are hanging around here during the Titans game and are still around the computer when watching the late game, so we can "watch the games together." 

Labor Day is one of the best holidays of the year because we don't have to work, and it means that the NFL season is just around the corner.  It is awesome to think that we just passed our last weekend of 2008 without NFL football.

Ok I admit, the Colts have been an impressive team in recent years.  Winning the division in each of the last 5 years is an accomplishment any team could be proud of.  Though some might argue (quite convincingly) that Rex Grossman single-handedly lost that Superbowl for the Bears, I'll take the high road and give Manning credit for leading his team to victory.

Yes, a terrible, terrible tragedy:

Brian Beutler, a well-known progressive blogger, was shot and seriously injured during a mugging last night in Washington, D.C.

As Vincanity mentioned, the Titans have agreed to terms with former Colts guard Jake Scott.  Scott started 55 straight games for the Colts.  Jim Wyatt is reporting his deal is worth around $5 million per year.

The Titans are sticking to the plan of adding value.  I love this signing because it means they will have at least 1 veteran starting at guard.  A line of Roos, Scott, Mawae, Amano and Stewart is pretty dang good.
