This morning, I am thankful that God is both sovereign and good, and I am thankful that He has brought me to a place of (semi) believing this. I was traveling yesterday from North Carolina to Oklahoma by plane, and I had prayed for opportunities to encounter people, whether they be Christian or non-Christian during my time traveling (that sounds futuristic).

Three-day weekends are brilliant. Quite simply put, we should have more of them. This weekend is Memorial Day, and while the masses are driving to who knows where, I will be doing absolutely nothing (apart from sleeping in and taking afternoon naps). This three-day weekend couldn’t have come at a better time.

It could not be a better time for the Democrats to elect a president. We are in throes of an expensive and unnecessary war. The GOP spends, well, like Democrats; and also refuses to cut Federal spending. Oil prices are high and home prices are down. George W. Bush is so unpopular now that I am not entirely sure that he has been invited to his daughter’s upcoming wedding.

HEALTHY NASHVILLE
On Saturday, I joined Mayor Karl Dean at his kick off of “Let’s Get Moving Challenge,”
as we walked 2.5 miles in McCabe Trailhead at the Richland Greenways with the Healthy Nashville Leadership Council. Today, I am sore, but I really feel good. And you can too.
