I feel like I have began a post like this before. For those of you that don't know me, I grew up, with an amazing group of friends, following the Grateful Dead. The time I spent, the places I traveled, the folks I met, and the music I heard, had a significant impact on who I am today.

We're at our first stop on the trip. We made really good time. We pulled out around noon. We've stopped in Tifton, GA for the night. We rolled into town about 6:15 our time. We did make a couple stops on the way. It's nearly the half way point between home and Miami. We nearly didn't outrun the rain, when we left.

At 7 a.m., temperatures range from 35° in the Tri-Cities in upper east Tennessee to 53° at the Memphis Int'l Airport in extreme west Tennessee.

Beautiful sunshine for today as a most southerly flow will make temperatures rise quickly! Should see a high of 70° this afternoon here in the Cookeville area.

Thursday and Friday's highs should reach 77°+.

We start this morning with lows around freezing and below outside Nashville. Sunshine early on and at end of day should help recover the temperatures to around 60 for a high. A few showers are clipping southern parts of Middle Tennessee this morning. The rain chance is on the rise after midday for all of the area, including Nashville.
