I first read about this project several months ago. I didn’t have the time to do much research on it and so I didn’t get to posting on it then. But it sounded interesting and the fact the US Military was looking into it lent it that much more credibility.

What is Labor Day?

Labor Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September. The holiday originated in 1882 as the Central Labor Union (of New York City) sought to create "a day off for the working man".

Not all of them, mind you. Just the ones who are venting some serious anti-Muslim spleen over the Tyson Plant in Shelbyville.

I am finishing up my last chapter in my new Bootstrapping text today. I am writing about how entrepreneurs build and then sustain a bootstrapping culture as their businesses grow. It is easy to see why most entrepreneurs bootstrap when they start -- they simply don't have much start-up capital. The average start-up in the US has only $10,000 to get their business off the ground.

Well the word has come out that we are going to offer buy out packages to 2,011 "non essential employees" of the state. The package is most likely going to include one years pay and free college education for new hires and one year pay for retirees. Those who were going to retire are now holding out for the extra payday.
