Rep. Eric Swafford brought up an amendment to the budget to defund any potential sanctuary cities. An amendment was added to say cities that have an illegal alien verification program (287G) can not face sanctions. It more or less encourages cities to take part in the federally funded program to ID illegals and have the fed imprison and deport them.

I said in a past post that the MMA (Mixed martial arts) bill had passed the senate it has not. I thought when an amendment was added after it passed the house it was to conform to the passed senate version. It was added to change the date but it did not pass the senate yet. The big hold up is an amendment to give surplus funds created by MMA to D1 college wrestling programs.
