high fructose corn syrup

Apparently our very own KTK writes for the San Francisco Chronicle under the pen name “Mark Morford”:

Last night my in-laws took my kids and Brian‘s kids down the street to a hotel to get high on all the partially hydrogenated oil, Red #40 and high fructose corn syrup they could bring over on the plane from Texas.  And to swim.

While canned bananas, high fructose corn syrup and pig rectum all sound delicious, we've decided to save those Secret Ingredients for another day—possibly for a future installment of Madwiches.

A while back, I stocked up on bottles of Celestial Seasonings green tea fortified with vitamin C when they were on closeout at Big Lots. Could I make my own green tea? Yes, but I really liked the flavor in these bottles and liked that they were fortified. So I've been rationing them. But now I have a replacement. Almost.

Here's an interesting coincidence...the SO and I spent the weekend in his part of town and after dropping my car off for new brakes, we decided to go exploring on Nolensville Road.

I just got an email from Brian, who handles public relations for Krystal. Apparently, Brian and the PR machine at the mothership of burger-scented food squares stumbled across my recent ode to the Krystal MilkQuake.

I'm sure this sounds like the beginning to another post about running. Let me assure you that this is not the case.

I was hungry when I got home from school today, and I reached for one of my husband's snacks: a Back to Nature Bakery Square, Oatmeal Raisin flavor. Sounds delish, no? The packaging spoke to me:

There are people in the world that have the ability to submit the universe into giving them what they want when they want it. There are others that must work hard, be punished, be rewarded, and taught a lesson. I am one of the latter.
