Is anybody else addicted to viewing the Olympics on NBC and the USA Network? Are there any other channels that show some action at certain points of the day? I love it when these summer games pop up every four years and seeing countries come together to support the best athletes in the world...

No, it has nothing to do with Darfur, or China’s human rights record, or their treatment of Buddhist monks in TIbet.

I simply can’t stay up that late. And I’m trying, trust me. I fell asleep, remote control in hand, trying to catch Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson Thursday night. Somewhere between the vault and uneven bars I succumbed. I think it was around 11 pm.

I understand wanting to keep sports and politics separate, but when the participants are representing their country then it seems like the athletes are representatives of their respective countries in a politically peripheral way.
