Congressman Cohen attempted to surgically remove his foot from his mouth after going on a local Fox affiliate where he said in reference to Sen. Clinton, "Glenn Close should have just stayed in the tub." Over at Egalia's house, Rep. Cohen left a comment apologizing for his remark:

I. do. not. do. memes. Never. will. Not. me. thankyouverymuch.

Who could make me do a meme? Who is so awesome that I would change my ways?

The chief spook was on Meet the Press yesterday discussing numerous topics, including bin Laden and Al Qaeda. Here is a snippet:

MR. RUSSERT: Michael Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, believes that there is--if there is another terrorist attack, it will originate [on the Afghan-Pakistan border].

I find the media free-for-all unleashed on Rev. Jeremiah Wright alarming, to say the least. Liberals have long maintained that separation of church and state protects both government and church. And I think the attacks on Rev. Wright are a perfect example of why this is so important.

Turns out R. Neal, in his Knox Views post "Obama has a Tell," was played, as many others in the media and the blogosphere were, by a false leak from the Canadian government that was apparently intended to create friction within the Democratic Party.
