It's not so unusual that there is another Sharon Cobb out there. However, Sharon Y. Cobb of Jacksonville is also a screenplay writer, filmmaker, journalist and pro Obama activist. So we not only have the same name, but apparently have the same unusual multiple career paths. (If she's also a songwriter, I think I'll plotz)

Lately I've heard several Libs wanting to bet on the Presidential election. It is an interesting Liberal tick--very adolescent, as if politics is a big game or as if a Conservative's unwillingness to enter a bet with a blustery bonehead proves something . . . I guess they think they're calling our bluff (after all, EVERYone knows this election is in_the_bag!) or that they can dispirit us.

Billboard's Ed Christman recently wrote about Wal-Mart's push for lower CD prices and a tiered pricing plan. In a nutsell, hits would be $12 and different levels of catalog at $9, $7 and $5. A proposed promotional program would put the top ten or 15 titles at $10.
